The QGBOTA will be meeting today with Mary Collier (RQ) and a representative from the ministers office (In the absence of the minister currently on annual leave)
This meeting will take place at Deagon at 10 am and we will be presenting documents to discuss a way forward in preparation for “The Next Lap” and the hybrid RQ/QRIC model.
This is not a meeting with QRIC and their draft licensing scheme.
This does include recommendations for the return of licensing to the RQ umbrella. The QGBOTA supports a continuation of the current licensing scheme (not the draft) at this moment. Our aim is to encourage growth and increase participant numbers in a safe and financially sustainable way.
The current economy has seen a rise in participant costs to fuel, tolls, canine food and veterinary expenses. We cannot afford any revenue reductions.
The QGBOTA is strongly apposed to any cuts to revenue streams to participants including appearance/travel funds and breeding schemes, while end of financial year profits continue to rise. It is also noted that 24/25 year payments to participants decreased with another year of record code profits.
For any member who wishes to view a copy of the presentation, please enter your email in the comments section or contact us directly via email qgbota@gmail.com. A copy will be registered to you, to control the information to industry only.
We hope to have a report after this meeting as soon as possible.
